Tidbit Tuesday ~ Veterans Day

Veterans of war have been honored on November 11th since Woodrow Wilson declared it an official holiday in 1919. Many places are closed on this day such as banks and government offices.

The men and women who fight and sacrifice to keep this country safe are heroes that should be remembered every day. We need to remember that Veterans Day and Memorial Day are not just good days to take advantage of a sale. If it wasn’t for these men and women, this wonderful country wouldn’t exist. The very fact that we are able to protest, campaign and work towards amending our Cottage Food Law is because we have the freedom to do so.

Today we remember, honor, and appreciate our American soldiers. We remember the fallen, and we are thankful for those who are still here. Never forget! Never take your freedom for granted!
