Throwback Thursday ~ The 1920’s

This Thursday we’re taking a short look at food in the 1920’s flapper era. This was a time of major changes in the food industry. Better refrigeration made it easier to store things for longer in the homes. Refrigerated trains and trucks were able to transport fruits and vegetables across the country. This was also the time of the great depression, but because of the hard working farmers, people in most places did not starve. If you’d like to read more about the history of the 1920’s just click on this website, 1920’s in History, it’s very interesting! As usual we’d like to give credit to Pinterest for the wonderful pictures.
